Something for Everybody- Beginner to Advanced

Kayaking and Canoeing is a great activity for building up your basic fitness.

Fantastic opportunity to make new friends while learning new skills

Opportunity to make a positive contribution by volunteering

Gain qualifications which could lead to employment opportunities. Many of our coaches started this way

Surrey Canoe Club aims to  introduce members to as many disciplines as possible. Our mission is to promote paddlesport by breaking down barriers to participation and supporting community engagement.

Members do not have to attend every week, as the coach will continue to teach from where the member left off the last time.

The club is an inclusive mainstream community club specializing in transferring skills across disciplines.

The coaching team is led by Albert Donovan, a  well- known British Canoe Union Level 5 Aspirant Kayak Coach, who is also qualified to coach and assess Open Canoe, Sea, Slalom and Placid Water from beginner to advanced.

All club coaches have an enhanced DBS, First Aid, Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults and Disability Awareness certificate.
